Hey Anna,
It's Hope. I know we haven't talked in a little bit, but I was thinking about home the other day and I wanted to check up on you. I hope everything's going okay where you are. I hope this email address still works.
I just know that you were always the person who seemed to know the most about what was going on with Janus. Did you ever get vibes that he was doing something... I don't know, weird? Like he was collecting us for anything? That sounds insane, I know, but I was talking to a friend and he put some stuff in my head about it and I just wanted to know if you saw stuff that I just wasn't smart enough to see.
I know this is out of nowhere. You don't have to answer if you'd rather not think about him (god knows I don't want to) but it was just on my mind.

Hey Lina, it's your big sis! Haven't heard from you in a bit so I wanted to check in and make sure school was going okay. Things are still pretty calm here in the city proper. Nothing crazy going on or anything. I'm actually reaching out to all of us because I started talking about dad with a friend here and it got me feeling nostalgic.
How's the culinary degree treating you? Are you still working on the perfect Thanksgiving meal? You know I'm still on board for the reunion whenever it happens.

They might be able to fuck with the big stuff but the postal service should still be outside their reach. I'll mail you copies of some stuff I was able to dig up. Nothing conclusive, obviously, but it should sate your curiosity for a little bit.
If you ever find yourself on the other coast, come find me, okay? Wouldn't mind seeing the kind of woman you grew up to be. Say hi to the others for me.

Anna sent me a message saying that you were reaching out to your sisters and I figured the email address you had for me bounced. There's no easy way to say this but college didn't really work out. It turns out it's really easy to get overwhelmed when you don't have any structure keeping you up anymore, haha!
What's the post? "I really did try, I promise. But you already know it's always been like this." Hahaha. It's such a nice day.
I'm back to living with dad. He doesn't seem to care that I flunked out but it's not in a way that makes me feel any better about it. I know it's hard for you to come visit, but you should do it one of these days. It's lonely without anyone else around here.

Lina, I'm so sorry. I know you were looking forward to everything college could give you. But it's going to be okay, I promise. I still struggle with keeping up with things that I like doing and it never feels good, and I swear I'm not just blowing smoke up your ass. If you could see the fights I've been getting into because I can't keep up with even the most basic things.
Have you looked into ADHD at all? I know Anna will tell you how scared she is of meds but I really think it might help. Some of my students (btw I'm still teaching somehow!) really started improving after they got medicated.
Come down to the school one of these days instead. I can't wait to hug you again. You could probably snap my back in half with how strong you are now.
